About Us

Change Development Initiatives (CDI) is a not for profit NGO established in 2015 to restore hope among the vulnerable children, youth and women in Uganda. CDI is based in Luwero Town council and operates in Luwero and Nakaseke districts with a country wide mandate to operate.
The organization aims at transforming Ugandan communities so that everybody is able to positively respond to issues affecting their lives by collectively participating in the sustainable development initiatives in their communities.
Since inception, CDI has supported and impacted over 1000 OVC to access education.

Education and Development


Career guidance to all pupils

Provision of scholastic materials like exercise books, pens and geometry mathematical sets to needy children

Conduct education referrals for needy children to access services like sponsorships currently not offered by CDI

Provision of games and sports materials to all partner primary and secondary schools to promote the pupils’ right to play.

Child Protection

CDI works through the schools, homes and communities to prevent violence against children.

Sensitize people on the rights and responsibilities of children and disseminate knowledge on prevention of violence against children.

Work through established structures to create safe environments for children and promoting children rights and responsibilities.
